Hello and Welcome!

My name is Lindsay Ladner, a wildlife and sporting artist located in Southeast Michigan. I use mainly ink and graphite to tell stories of wildlife and conservation.

I began drawing at a very young age sitting at the kitchen table with my grandfather, who almost always drew pictures of cowboys atop their horses in a mountainous landscape. I’ve always had a love of wildlife, and grew up hearing the stories of his adventures in the woods - hunting, fishing, and trapping. When I was old enough, I started hunting, and all the while continued drawing while pulling inspiration from hunting magazines and calendars around the house.

To this day, I continue to draw my inspiration from the wild world around me. There is more to something than what meets the eye and I believe in seeing the forest for more than just the trees. When in the outdoors, I don’t just see the animal, I see the stories they could tell, the stories others could tell encountering them, and ultimately the stories I can draw life into.
